After almost 10 years in the making, red carpet couturier to the stars Alex Perry has finally released his namesake apartment collection to the Brisbane market.

The global financial crisis caused the bottom to fall out of the economy, like a poorly made pair of pants, shortly after the plans for Alex Perry Residential were first drawn. But the one and two-bedroom pads in Fortitude Valley are nearing settlement.

Perry, a judge on Australia’s Next Top Model and known for his rock star runway shows, really knows style, dressing the glamour project with a rooftop “aqua lounge”, horizon pool and Grecian-style pavilion with flowing curtains, plus gym and concierge.

McGrath Real Estate’s Sherrie Storor is helping buyers find the right fit among the available apartments, with about 30 per cent available.

The designer has frocked up some of the world’s sexiest women, from local beauties including Myer face Jennifer Hawkins (pictured with Perry) and Megan Gale, to Hollywood actresses Sandra Bullock and Jessica Chastain, and supermodel Heidi Klum.

And south, on the glittering Gold Coast, one of Australia’s most powerful businesswomen is the force behind a boutique block of apartments, which are the latest high-end offering to luxury-conscious international buyers.

Architect Virginia Kerridge has designed Harvey Norman chief executive Katie Page’s ultra swish development at postcard-worthy Main Beach, with frontage to that famously endless stretch of sand.

Named M3565, the project was flagged earlier this year and is expected to commence construction soon. Page, who is married to the retail chain’s chairman Gerry Harvey, has kept it super exclusive, with only seven residences.

The off-the-plan global sales push, which is now underway, is being handled by Christie’s realty head Ken Jacobs, who adds M3565 to his selective books, which includes Eureka Tower penthouse E82 and actor Mel Gibson’s Costa Rica jungle hideaway, Playa Barrigona.

Six of the apartments cover single floors, each with a different look and layout, including natural materials and huge balconies, and the penthouse, which has a plunge pool, spans two levels.]]>DomainThis story Administrator ready to work first appeared on Nanjing Night Net.
