Hanwood FC have run riot over Griffith City FC to win 15-0 in the 16th round of theBillabong Cup on a chillySaturday night.
A fog had set in when the teams took to the fieldat the Exies Oval.
Hanwood FC’s intentions were clear from the opening kick-off as they immediately hassled Griffith City for possession.
The pressure was sustained by Hanwood FC and it paid dividends 10 minutes into the match.

Greaves controlled the ball before crossing along the ground to Daniel Johnson who popped the ball into the back of the net.
Hanwood FC were producing chance after chance and it looked as if they doubled their lead when Greaves put one away –but he was deemed offside.

Hanwood FC scoredtheir third goal whenAndrew Quarisa beat his man with some fancy footwork inside the 18-yard box before passing to an unmarked Greaves who made no mistake.
Griffith City struggled to get outside of their own half but managed to do so close to the end of the opening stanza.
A Griffith City player was brought down in scoring range and a free kick was awarded.
The ensuing shot was hit with ferocity but Hanwood FC goalkeeper Shaun Pearson stopped the shot.
As half time approached,Andrew Quarisa scored to make it 4-0.
Hanwood FC went to another gear in the second half as they piled on a staggering 11 more goals.
Johnson finished with six goals whileGreaves scored three in total.
Dem Torino snagged two second half goals whileAndrew Gamble and Cameron McWhirter both got one each.
Hanwood FC co-coach Anthony Agresta felt for the Griffith City side.
“They dropped off and we kept going with what we were doing,” Agresta said.
“It’s hard for them, they had a fair few guys that were backing up from reserve grade but you can only play what’s in front of you.”
