The Blues scored a crucial 23-goal victory in Saturday’s play against Elmore at Toolleen.

A 43-20 result lifted Mounts’ points tally to 22.

The seventh-placed Blues moved within two points of Huntly and Lockington-Bamawm United at the end of the 13th round.

Line-ups in second to fourth on the ladder recorded emphatic victories.

The second-placed North Bendigo scored a 58-goal win at Superior Roofing Oval in Atkins Street.

Colbinabbin won at Lockington by 21 goals.

The third-placed Grasshoppers beat the Cats, 51-30.

Closest contest of the afternoon was at Leitchville-Gunbower where the fourth-placed Bombers beat Huntly by 13 goals.

White Hills had the bye.

Highlight of next Saturday’s 15th round will be the showdown between top teams, White Hills and North Bendigo at Scott Street.

The fifth-placed Huntly and sixth-placed Lockington-Bamawm Unitedclash on the Hawks’ court at Strauch Reserve.

Elmore hosts Leitchville-Gunbower, and Heathcote faces Mount Pleasant.
